One never knows if or when the S will HTF and when it does or if your just caught in a really bad, unlucky situation then information like this could save your life. So, it's worth watching and gathering all the knowledge we can while we are able. Squirrels don't wait till winter to start gathering their stock.

Staying overnight in the Survival Shelter I built in my last video. No fire, No sleeping bag, No tarp, Freezing temps. With a little ingenuity a simple shelter can be made with few materials and bare hands. This type of shelter is popular in survival classes and books. Unfortunately, in the Arid Scablands we have very few materials to work with, no logs for cabins or big fires, no pine boughs or palm fronds, no bamboo for making huts. We have grass and sedges in abundance though it just takes a little creativity to make a shelter. This technique can be replicated in many other biomes as well.... but remember if you use it in warmer temps, you will probably have uninvited guests, then again in warmer temps you probably won't need to crawl into bushes to shelter from exposure either. And if you do carry a decent survival pack, it can make a big difference in comfort. A few essentials will go a long way. I hope this can be useful to someone, whether it is for an emergency shelter, bug out hide, hunting blind or just an unexpected overnighter.
